The Linden High School girls volleyball team is inviting the public to its Pink Out match on Monday, Oct. 30, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

All fans are encouraged to wear pink, and donations will be accepted throughout the event for the Rutgers Cancer Institute.

“We will be wearing pink to show our support for breast cancer awareness all while pushing to find a cure,” said head coach Marissa DelloRusso. “This event is meant to honor and remember those who have fallen victim to this disease, while coming together to raise funds for breast cancer research.”

The event gets under way at 4 p.m. with the freshman match, followed by the JV match at 5:30.

Following a recognition ceremony for breast-cancer survivors, Linden’s varsity team will play Elizabeth High School at 7 p.m.
