When Jersey Mike’s Subs was preparing to open a shop in Linden on March 21, the company reached out to Linden Public Schools with an offer to help raise money for the district during its grand opening week.
This was done in several ways:
– Donation cards: Jersey Mike’s distributed cards throughout the city that allowed the holder to get a free regular sub by donating a minimum of $2 to Linden Public Schools. The company gave the school district enough cards for all employees, and then some. The offer runs through March 25.
– Coupon fliers: Jersey Mike’s distributed coupon fliers through Linden Public Schools to employees, students and families. For each coupon redeemed, Jersey Mike’s will donate $1 to the district. That offer runs through March 30.
– Specific schools: Jersey Mike’s also wanted to donate to the elementary school, middle school and high school closest to the shop geographically, so the company distributed coupon fliers specifically to School No. 2, Soehl Middle School and Linden High School. For every coupon redeemed, $1 will be donated to that specific school. That offer also runs through March 30.
Jersey Mike’s will also be offering “spirit nights” going forward, in which part of the proceeds on a specific night will go to school organizations or other charities.
“We appreciate the support of Jersey Mike’s as they open in Linden,” said Superintendent Danny A. Robertozzi. “These promotions were a great way to say hello to the community and help our schools in the process.”
Jersey Mike’s is located at 683 W. Edgar Rd., in Aviation Plaza.
