Linden Public Schools won two awards in the 2020 New Jersey School Communication Awards on Friday, Oct. 16, including a first-place win in the Media Relations – Human Interest category.
Kcyronne Zahir, director of the alternative high school program, has taken on the added role of director of equity in education to lead the district’s push to eliminate any opportunity gaps for students.
All eight elementary schools welcomed students back Tuesday for the first time since in-person learning was halted in March. About 50 percent of students returned, with the other half remaining at home for virtual learning.
