The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program was founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1968 in order to prepare students for college, with a focus on creating “world citizens” who would be able to live and work internationally. Today, the program is being used by 4,000 schools in over 141 countries. High School students completing the program can receive college credit if the pass IB exams, and complete all the requirements of the program.

Here at Linden High School, we are committed by a mission to create a better world through education. All this is captured in the IB mission statement:

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop lifelong learners who understand that other people with the differences, can also be right.
