The parents, teachers, and students of Linden all want the same thing: Student success.

However, success for our students is a process that has many components.

Many models exist for what constitutes excellent teaching, but most can be summarized as a four-step process:

  1. Plan: Using what you know about the students’ current knowledge, develop a plan for how to prepare them for what they need to know (as defined in the curriculum)
  2. Teach: Deliver the instruction that has been planned
  3. Assess: Have students demonstrate their understanding of the instruction
  4. Analyze: Using the information from the previous step, determine what needs to be done next (review, move on, etc.)
